I'm a landscape painter looking for some relatively simple software to:
I suppose I could do a lot of this with just address book, but wonder what else is available. I've looked at Bento, and did a trial. I wanted to use Bento for contacts and art inventory, but found I could not create a "consigment" sheet, a list of paintings for a gallery. It may still work for contacts, but not so much for inventory as far as I can tell.
I don't need very many bells and whistles.
I don't have a specific budget, $100 or less ideally. Let me know of anything else you think I should try.
p.s. There is software specifically for artists that keep an inventory of your art with pictures and descriptions. Some of them have contact management included, but I don't find them very intuitive.
(e-artist, Artist Butler, Working Artist, GYST, ArtTracker, etc.) Artist Butler is the simpler one to use IMO. I've gone to cloud based inventory of my art now using ArtworkArchive.com
- Keep track of my contacts, with several subgroups like clients, friends, galleries, etc.
- Mail batch emails for a gallery opening or other exhibit of my work
- Create mailing labels for postcards for exhibits. I'd like the ability to adjust fonts.
- Be able to sort and search the contacts
