Caldav setup issue

Hi all, I'm having some issues with the Caldav feature. I'd like to set up iCal to sync with my google account, but every time i click the plus in the accounts tab nothing happens. Does anyone have any tips how to resolve this?

I'm running Mac OSX Snow Leopard with iCal 4.0.4
