I created and edited .bash_profile from my home directory to customize the command prompt (whatever appears before '$' in Terminal). After I did that, the regular Terminal application worked correctly, no problems. But I also use a Dashboard widget called WidgetTerm, which is a terminal instance residing in the Dashboard. The prompt customization worked there as well, but it forgot all the path settings (I couldn't access MacPorts (port) for example, or any executable that doesn't reside in system standard locations, like /usr/bin).
After I deleted .bash_profile, the path settings worked once again from WidgetTerm.
Are there any replacement Dashboard terminals to WidgetTerm? Or how can I fix this so WidgetTerm has no problems?
