Hello everyone.
I am going to be installing a new SSD and before hand am trying to do a time machine backup on a 1.5TB external hard drive. I will provide pictures to explain this issue.
When I set up the backup and select the target drive everything goes fine. It goes on it's way and when I click options I see this (note the estimated backup size)

It also says 75 gb's ish when it's actually running at the end of the progress bar. It will say something like (current amount transferred is so and so) *the actual bar* and then "of 75GB"
When I check it after the progress is done I see that the file placed on my drive is only 40GB and it seems to not be transferring everything.
Whats the deal?
