iTunes Match - Purchasing new music content

Hi,

I've recently made the switch to iTunes Match to have all my music media in the cloud and to be fair it's done a really good job.

Now my question is when I want to purchase a new album say on iTunes do I have to physically download it onto my machine first and then delete it to have it in the cloud and not on my machine? Basically I don't want to be physically downloading the albums/songs I just want to purchase them and then be able to listen to them via iCloud (streaming).

Secondly has anyone gotten around this when downloading from Amazon music?
