The item “.VolumeIcon.icns” can’t be replaced because it’s invisible.

The item “.VolumeIcon.icns” can’t be replaced because it’s invisible. I am trying unsuccessfully to upgrade some imaging software - Osirix. I get the following message - The item “.VolumeIcon.icns” can’t be replaced because it’s invisible. What does this mean and can I correct it?
