Samsung Galaxy ace II x & iphoto

Ok, I may be in the incorrect thread & I have looked throughout the forums for the answer, or perhaps I have missed it:

But here is the problem. When I connect my samsung to my imac iphoto opens okay, and I can transfer the pictures over ok, but before transferring the pictures over they only show up as outlines? :confused:

Anyone here who can explain to me why, and how to correct it?
