Edit the text in illustrator

Hi,

I'm very new in using illustrator and i have to edit a designed .ai file.
I want to edit the text inside a text box, but when i click on the text, it behaves as if i'm selecting an object. I mean i'm able to move the letters one by one.. :confused:

I've attached also the screenshot.

Anyone knows what is the problem..:(
