iPhoto Bugs are making it more and more useless...

Is anyone else just about fed up with iPhoto bugs?

It is really difficult to manage my photos on a trip I'm on right now. I imported photos from last night. When I go to my "last six months" smart folder, they're not in there, even when I try all sorts of things to manually force a sort order.

So then I check the metadata for the pictures because somehow they are magically in the "last import" folder. The metadata is correct. All of the timestamps are accurate.

There's also the issue of some of my photos not syncing properly to my iDevices.

Some of the immutable defaults are also awkward. Also under the "recent" section on the left, there's an icon with a palm tree that has a completely random event, "Dave's Camera," there - this is month's old. Apparently I'm not the only one who finds this ridiculous. Discussion on Apple's support forums is here.

It's also not possible to copy and paste a geo-tag. If I took two pictures in the same spot, but one didn't get geo-tagged, I can't just "copy" the tag from one image to another.

These are just a few of the many bugs I'm encountering. Suggestions? Should I just plunk down the cash and move to Aperture? Thanks!
