Has anyone had problems / know a solution for getting Messages under 10.8 to video chat with iChat from 10.6?
We have the kids chat with grandparents once a week, but after we upgraded to ML, we can't get video chat to work. We have the last of the MacBooks (2.26 GHz Core 2 Duo with 8GB RAM) running ML. They have a iMac 20in Core 2 Duo, but I'm not sure what the exact specs are. They are running Snow Lep, because they are tied to Quicken, and need Rosetta functionality, otherwise I would have upgraded them past 10.6.
iChat worked fine between 10.6 and 10.7. Now that I have 10.8, and Messages replaced iChat, we are having problems. Text messages seemed to work fine, but the video refused to connect regardless of who originated the connection.
