I need advice for the best way to setup accessibility to my music and photo's to all my devices from a shared drive from my home network.
I have been told that connecting all devices centrally to an external HD, or NAS, to access one iTunes and iPhoto account is a bad idea. Apparently, it causes corruption issues.
That being said, should I place all my photos and music files on an external HD, or NAS, simply as files and not an iTunes library or iPhoto library? This way anyone on the network can use the "add to library" function to add whatever file they want to the library on their device, and place any purchases or import on the storage drive. Would this work, or is there a better method of going about this?
